On Wednesday the 6th of July Veronica, Hannah-Mae and I went down to Timaru, for the Otago Daily Times Spelling Quiz. Before we went to Timaru Boys High School we stopped in at McDonalds for dinner. At the school hall there were 50 teams from all over the South Island. There was 10 rounds like: spelling tests, dictionary rounds, root words and proofreading each worth different points. After 4 rounds we were tied for first but then dropped to 13th place after rounds 5, 6, 7, 8 and nine. Round ten was easier and we stayed in 13th position. Its was a great experience and I hope to go next year!
